DESCRIPTION
Nestled in Toronto’s Roncesvalles neighbourhood, this 4-storey multifamily residential redevelopment of a former industrial brownfield brings 65 high-quality, affordable, family-oriented homes for the “missing middle“ to this desirable, established neighbourhood. The building’s form and materials — primarily brick, metal and wood — pay homage to the character of the neighbourhood’s existing industrial buildings, while a variation of double-height glazing, bay windows and balconies enliven it’s exterior. It offers a combination of townhomes and one- and two-storey flats, each with generous outdoor living space in the form of either a backyard or rooftop terrace. North-facing units look onto the adjacent Sorauren Park, which is animated by a farmer’s market and numerous community events held throughout the year, while East-facing units offer stunning views of the city’s downtown skyline.
